Context & Challenge
MPI Oosterlo opened two dedicated residential homes for vulnerable youth: De Wimp and De Laak. These were not mere facilities, but safe havens where young people can find stability, care, and emotional grounding. The organization needed a film that would evoke deep empathy while serving as a functional, enduring asset in board presentations, donor reports, HR recruitment, and parent orientations.
The Strategy & Concept
In healthcare communication, organizations often veer either into overt sentimentalism or sterile bureaucracy. We aimed for an audiovisual work that unites emotional truth with long-term utility: a documentary piece that commands respect on premiere day and remains compelling on the tenth viewing.
Execution & Action
We crafted an understated voice-over recorded with deliberate restraint. Composed of 18 meticulously timed five-second visual modules, the cinematography honors the dignity of residents through respectful wide compositions, soft natural lighting, and tactile moments of care rather than intrusive close-ups. Every segment can be extracted modularly for policy briefings, intake meetings, and staff training.
Results & Impact
The film moved families at the open house and continues to serve as an indispensable communication tool across stakeholder onboarding, donor cultivation, and recruitment.
