Context & Challenge
For the City of Hasselt, recruiting a Head of Real Estate & Facility Management involved far more than filling a vacancy. The position oversees more than 250 municipal buildings spanning sports complexes, cultural heritage, schools, and civic halls. A standard bullet-point job posting could never convey the true scope, political dynamics, and collaborative responsibility involved.
The Strategy & Concept
Instead of producing a generic, flashy recruitment video, we created a thoughtful documentary briefing film that provides genuine context. The video was designed not as an aggressive recruitment pitch, but as an honest prelude to substantive interview discussions.
Execution & Action
We shot panoramic drone footage of Hasselt's urban landscape, illustrating the delicate balance between architectural preservation and municipal innovation. We conducted sincere, unscripted interviews with city leaders, discussing team dynamics and the real impact of the role. Calm pacing, natural lighting, and architectural framing ensured a grounded, highly professional viewer experience.
Results & Impact
Candidates entered interview rounds with a realistic understanding of the mission and city leadership dynamics. Recruiters received inquiries from seasoned professionals aligned with the cultural scale of the role.
